Hi all, I haven't posted much lately because of numerous computer problems but aaaaanyway...

I have the opportunity to pick up a set of Eibach Sportlines for a VERY good price, which would get rid of the high stance that I REALLY hate. The only problem is, I'm worried Sportlines will be too low for my side exhaust. I was wondering if anybody on here is running sportlines with side exits, or know someone who is. I need to know what kind of clearance issues exist with this combo. Thanks everybody.

well if you don't care much for ride quality, i cut my springs a whole loop and an 1/8th. it dropped the car about an inch and a half. honestly, i don't notice a difference in ride quality at all. you may want to consider cutting about 1 loop... might give you around an inch of drop and seriously reduce the 4x4 look.

I need new springs though, cuz my rear ones are worn out and sagging...which is makin the rear sort of bouncy on the highway, like when I am bouncing over expansion joints and seams in the pavement.

I don't think you'll have any issued with the drop, personally I'd recommend the pro-kit as the sportlines seem like a big drop. I recently loaded my Borlas SVO equipped stang down when I moved across country (which dropped the car as much as the pro-kit) and with my LT headers and side exhause I never scrapped.

hey there, i lowered my vert a little over 2 inches. remember the strut lowers the spring gives the bounce! i am running 245*30 on the front and im always scraping. ecspecially here at school in alabama, it seems like every buisness has these huge apexes at the front of their entry drives. im gonna go with a bigger tire and hopefully that will help out a little. no way could i put side exits on, even though i wish i could. maybe the campbell x pipe.....i dunno. we'll see. good luck

I have the sportlines and love them. I would have been pissed if my car didn't get to where it is now. It is low but I've seen lower cars with the side exhaust in one piece. Give me the skirt measurement, from door sill to the bottom of the skirt and I'll get back to you.

My car is 6 hours away at present, but I do know the lowest part of the skirt (where the tip exits) is around 2" lower than a stock side skirt. As for using the pro-kit, yea I was planning on going pro-kit, but I would have to wait much longer to free up the $$, this set of sportlines I have the opportunity to buy is less than half new price, which is why I wanted to see if it would be possible to run them or not. I realize I would need C/C plates, but I guess I would just live in various classifieds till a used set of C/C's comes up for sale at a good price.

you should be fine
With my sides lowered i'm just over 6 inches clearance, i think the closest you should have is 4 without scraping, anything less than that and you're s.o.l.
It will be close, real close.

I have the pro-kit springs with the SVO side exhaust. It rubs on big speed bumps in parking lots, but havent had any other big problems...

i would just wait and get some pro-kits. sportlines are a big drop. too big for me with a comfortable speedbump clearance.

If you'd rather have the pro-kit I'd personally wait and save up for what you actually want rather than getting what you might not want because it's cheaper (I've done both).

I guess I will just wait and get pro-kits, SN95StangMan is bottoming out with pro-kits and side exits in parking lots, then I would assume Sportlines + side exits would be baaaaad news. I think what I was wanting is the killer stance of sportlines (makes me happy in pants), but I think it's just not gonna be driveable if I go that low with side exits. Thanks for the help everybody. On that note....anybody wanna sell or know anyone who wants to sell a set of slightly used Pro-Kits? PM me if so.
