my friend did bent his the other night on a 7.49 pass at 91 mph on a shot of nitrous ???? just wondering , everyone I have talked to cant believe that the 4 cylinder transmission that has since then broke didnt break before it bent the driveshaft though ???? all this chaos on a 235/60/15 MT drag radial , those tires are hooking good ....and the king cobra clutch is holding like a champ .......

never did that, but I've seen a newer trans am twist one of the aluminum shafts in two pieces.

Pretty common to find these cars that are driven pretty hard to have driveshafts that are out of balance, or slightly 'bent'. I'd be curious to see pics of the damage incurred on that particular ds though.

Yeah a good hard launch will end the life of the stockers. I upgraded mine to an aluminum one so I wouldn't have to worry about that problem occurring. Plus it shaves weight off of the rotating mass.

My friend bent his in his truck when he was doing a nice burnout in his F-250, then he started getting wheel hop and SNAP the driveshaft twisted like a twizzler, literally too It had a 302 in her too
