Just curious as to how much insurance on an 88 GT 5-speed would be for an 18 year old. Lets say both full ocverage and liability.

It's over $400 a month for me (Canadian), i'm still trying to find a cheaper insurance co. before i plate the car.

EDIT: Strict liability by the way... and a perfect record.

about $70/month full coverage. thats listed as my 2nd vehicle though.

Hate to say it, but for an 18 year old in that car, your looking at around $5000 for liability. Theft/collision, forget about it.

Call for some quotes. I assume you took drivers ed? Take def driving also and save I think 5% or 10%.

I'm 24 and I pay about $3800 for 2 cars and I think its a bit high. Although, I do live in expensive NY

no, 23. with 1 accident in the last 3 years. If you wanna help yourself out, get a $200 car and put it on your insurance. List the $200 car as your primary car and the mustang as #2. this will also get the multicar 10-15% off.
Maverick: with that techique i talked about, that $200 car would pay itself off in about 3 months...give or take....

I'm 19, and I just have PL and PD for $36 a month, which is $216 for six months. The car isn't under my name though because I'm still paying for it.

An 18 year old with a V8 car is going to be higher than a 4 banger any day, but because the car is older, it isn't as bad. I drove Ford Escort's around until I was 22 because of insurance. I'm 25 now and it's about the same no matter what I drive.

im 28 ...no accidents(knock on wood)...1 ticket.

i pay 31 bucks a month for full coverage on my stang through progressive. i also own a 2004 explorer. its 70 bucks a month for full coverage. its a little higher cuz its new and my wife is on the policy. she's only 21....

i am 18 the car is under my name and i have a clean record and my insurance is 194 a month for just liablitiy and my car is a 94. hope that helps a little

It totally depends on where you live. I live in SE louisiana. The insurance is high here because of the bad roads and all the drunk drivers. I think we are the 3rd highest state. Cali is the highest.

Why don't you just go to geico or progressive's website and get a free quote?
