How much is the complete pullout of my 5.0 cobra engine and transmission out of my 1995 cobra worth??? It has 154,000 miles on it and has many new parts.

new parts on the engine include....ngk plugs, accel wires, march pullies,k&n fipk, motorcraft distributor,battery......new parts on the trans include....steeda adjustable clutch cable and brand new clutch. all the parts listed above have no more than 100 miles on them. The car runs great and is still feeling strong, but im putting an 04 cobra drivetrain into my car and want to sell this one.

I have always used mobil one full sythetic and used the recomended 93 octane in the car, so I feel its in great shape, but I understand miles concern people. So I have had it up for sale at $2,500.00 pulled and Ive had interest but no one follows through.....is what im asking to much or is that market just not good unless its being given away practicly??

even though it's out of a cobra, it's still a 154k 302 with new "tune up" parts and a t5. so a lot of people are gonna be skeptical about that price, probably.

Eventhough it was well taken care of, it is still 154k miles. Before I would put the motor in anything, it would have to be torn down.

IMHO, you are asking way too much money. GT-40 heads - $250 Shortblock $500 Trans $450 Misc other stuff- $250 See what the parts go for on E-bay. I'd say around $1500 is more realistic

WAAAAy too much.

For $2500 you can put together a 5.0 engine with better parts than a Cobra had on it.

Lower it to $1000 for the drivetrain and you might see more response.

BTW, let's keep this a what's it worth thread and not a for sale thread or it gets the padlock

Id think $500 for the motor and $250 for the transmission.

Youre asking $200 less for just a stock motor and tranny than I paid for my whole Mustang with lower miles and running great.
