its like 13% - 15% loss with a 5 speed depending on tranny fluids Etc.....and i think like 18% loss with an auto.......

a 600hp motor will lose the same % due to more heat, friction and stress. I forget what they call it but it is something to the beat of " Law of returning losses"? If someone knows please chime in

i thought it was a 10% drivetrain loss with a manual and a 15% with an auto?

Dynojet supposedly puts in a drivetrain loss correction.

Dynojet reports what's there at the wheels. There is no correction to the crank. They can do a "run down" where they allow the drag of the driveline to slow the rollers down and track this to measure loss but because the gear loadings are so much different coasting down compared to at WOT, I don't put much stock into this method.
