Okay guys, i'm going to take $1000 of my tax returns and put it towards my car. However, i'm really undecided on what I should get.

I'm in desperate need of new suspension, my rear squats so bad it takes gashes out of my tires (partly because I have huge tires too, lol). I would really love to have a tubular K-member, manual rack and the complete works. However, i'm not sure if all that can be done with just 1k or somewhere close to that amount. I also need some LT's, but dang, they are so many choices out there.

So, could you all lead me in the right direction in getting a killer suspension setup for 1k? Adjustable upper/lower control arms, struts, springs (coilovers?), etc. etc. I'm really clueless about suspension. Also, if there is any way I could get a complete front tubular suspension setup that would be absolutely killer, however I don't know the going prices for such a setup.

If you could give me a place to order the parts (cheaper = better, lol) from and/or a part number that would really help. I'm compiling a list of things that i'm going to be ordering in 3 weeks (maybe sooner). Again, thanks for any help.

I'm not sure, this might have went better in the 5.0 Talk forum? It's tech related though? Anyways, :SNSign: rulz

I just bought my tubular front end not to long ago. I went with the UPR setup, K-member, a-arms, coilovers w/springs. I found it on ebay for 600.00 shipped brand new from Texas Hotrod. I also bought the UPR caster camber plates for 130.00. Also the 90/10 struts for 190.00. Thats 920.00. And then I went to a local juck yard and pulled a manual rack off of a fairmont that was in good condition for 25.00. I put it all on myself so no labor. So my total was 945.00. There is your 1000.00.

Personally, that tire slashing/sagging would bug the heck out of me, I'd get a rear coil over setup. A panhard bar would also be on my list, it helps the feel/control of the car, even if you go in a straight line.

I love my rear coil overs! I would definitely fix that rear suspension first. You could probably do that and get a k-member kit off ebay for about $1000. I know a few people who have got their manual racks off early fox bodys and have had no problems with it. They are cheap at the junkyards.

What would be the best coil overs, and control arms to go with? Panhard bar?

Like I said guys i'm clueless about suspension setups.

Okay, i've compiled short list with prices i've found on ebay.
Anyways.... something like this so far... again someone correct me if i'm going to make a boo boo.

D&D Front Tubular K-member, A-Arms, coil overs. $630
Steeda Drag/Launch Springs $270

I could get those first. Then save for the following

Adjustable Lower Control Arms $140
Adjustable Upper Control Arms $190
Cast/Camber plates $190
Manual Rack&Pinion steering $350
Pacesetter 1 5/8" LT headers $280

Dayum.... this is getting to be a lot more money than I expected. Looks like my car won't be back on the road for a while!
Anything else I may need?

First thing is First... what are your intentions of this car... Racing it, or just crusing it?? From the parts your listing here looks like your getting ready to RACE!! If its Race, then sure youve got a good start, As for the D&D id go UPR. Ive heard some bad stories on them. Stuff not lining up right, engine sitting back farther then stock...stuff like that... You could go with Ebaich drag launch kit($255), and lakewood 50/50s($90) and 90/10s($190) its a nice set up, if your going for a car thats just for fun...id go with something like this..http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOKI...33590QQitemZ8039761994QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I dont know what else you have done to your car...but the 600 you have left can do some other upgrades... just a thought

Check with summit and other preformance parts dealers before you buy from ebay.Iwas looking for some parts and found that summit was cheaper then ebay on some stuff. Im on a budget to and need to save every dollar i can to.

I have the non-adjustable UPR upper and lower control arms on my car. they made a huge improvement over stock and are pretty inexpesive. I also think the bbk longtubes from summit would be the way to go. I've heard the quality on the pacesetters is poor. you can get the bbk LTs for about 240 the quality and fit is good.
