I have a 85 Foxbody I am getting a 427w roller and I don't know what would be better Supercharger or Turbo?

12k is my budget

With buying the engine ? Or after ? 12k is going to be cutting it close if that’s excluding the engine purchase .

Still need transmission to support the power - manual or auto ?
Fuel system , pump lines fittings injectors etc
Exhaust
Build a rear to support the power
Brake upgrade if it isn’t already done
Then you need a power adder . 427 isn’t a small motor so you’re stuck with - Vortech ysi , procharger f1a or something like a b&gturbo kit . All in the 5-6k range for a kit .

Then you still need a efi system capable of running what you’re looking to do .

I have the engine and it's currently has a 4 speed automatic I'm going to keep it in there for now but later down the road I might change it
The vauge answers aren’t helping . Going out on a limb and guessing you have an aod ? If it’s stock it will not live much at all behind that power .

I am a supercharger guy . I love turbo stuff too but my own car has a blower on it. It’s really up to you and your skill level .

Your power adder is going to eat up half your budget to support a 427 . You’ll be lucky to finish with the other half of your budget . Trust me .
