I have a leak, don't know what it is...description inside.

I popped my hood today and heard some leaking fluid (like it was hot or pressurized). I beleive I seen where it was coming from.

It is on the passenger side of the engine to the left of the head. It looked like a 'fuel filter' with a clamp around it. There was a hose going to it from the top into it. It was leaking where the hose meets the 'fuel filter'. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I think it might be fuel related, because it evaporated so quickly.

theres a fuel line that goes over the pass side valve cover, under the intake somewhere. make sure the line is pressed in all the way into the spring connector. thats all i can think of

Thanks for the reply, I would hate an actual fuel leak.

The hose goes down towards the ground into that 'fuel filter' looking deal. It is clamped into a brace.

It is leaking off to the passenger side of the valve cover, it isn't sitting over the intake.

sounds like you are talking about the a/c accumulator, it is mounted to the left of the motor ( if you were looking at it from the front of the car) on the passenger side just in front of the firewall.

You would smell fuel if it was leaking that badly.. if you can take a picture of the leaking part so we can be sure.

On my car the condensation from the a/c system hitting the exhaust pipe makes a sizzling, hissing noise. Mabye you're looking at simliar condensation and hearing it hit your exhaust?

I know what the a/c accumulator is, it isn't that... Yeah that evaporates quite nicely...

in front of the pulleys? thats part of the A/C

It is to the direct left of the compressor (driven by the crank). Looks like a fuel filter bracket and fuel filter...

Ha, I know it's not a fuel filter, like I stated up further in the thread.

It probably is part of the a/c, just I wonder what.
