At first it was a rumor, then MMFF reported there would be no Mach, Boss or Bullitt.

Now this: http://www.autoblog.com/2006/07/25/more-info-on-boss-mustang/

Hope its true. Reports are either a N/A 5.4 putting down 390hp, or a mod 5.0 to go along with the "Boss 302" name. A 5.0 would do WONDERS for marketing, which could also mean $10k dealer mark-ups. ***s Shelby suspension with V6 weight. Could* be a winner

But knowing Ford they will either not build it, or build it and F'k it up

that would be mad sweet with the grabber blue color and if they could keep the weight down it would be a hit.

There was a little article about the new boss 302 in the latest 5.0 mag. It sounds like it is going to be a bad ass car It also sounds like it is going to be a limited production- I think they said the were only making 10,000; ill have to reread the article.

I doubt it will be as light as a V6...but even they are about as heavy as our GTs.

I kinda see 390HP (340RWHP) a little tough for ford to get out of a 3V engine. a 5.4 4V, yes....but 5.0 3V. they will need to have the heads ported and some better cams..I just dont see that happening.

I think it will be the N/A 5.4 4V...imagine when peeps S/C those
