Chris, you will find some in the Corral classifieds. If not found outright, search for guys selling AODE's (there are a few right now) because they probably have a puter for you but might not have it listed.

If you will use OD, you need an OD (trans control) module too.
Good luck!

i am, but apparently there is some piece of hardware in the computer that is not in a manual computer, so even if you load the right tune, it still doesn't control the tranny correctly. this info is from don lasota

Isn't there a tranny controller made by a company called Baum or something of the like?

Don did mention I could use a Bauman controller or a manual valve body. Honestly, I don't have any clue about transmisisons and I don't know anything about either of these things. Wouldn't swapping out the computer be the "best" option?

ProKiller - Thanks!

AOD or AODE? Which direction are you headed?

The Baumannator or MVB would both be a PITA IMHO, and more expensive, just as hypothesized.

I agree - grab a stock U/W4 puter and have at it.

Paul, I'm sure he meant AODE (he is going to use a V6 N.E. 4R trans as I recall).

Got ya... I just get a ton of people in my area that get the AOD and AODE confused. Happened last night actually.

Oh I know it does buddy.

Were it not for my recollection of Chris's trans score, I'd have wondered which route he's going exactly myself (it would be like what Dave [Mansonozz] is doing - a wide ratio gearset with a manual VB, etc in his fox. That's a good way to waste a lot of aspirin if you ask me but it'll be great once he's all done).

i'm going with a 4R70W tranny. don lasota and eric fischer, both of whom have done the swap said i need a 94/95 eec out of an automatic car, which means a U4P0 or a W4H0 processor. i was just taking a shortcut saying aod, which i figured was safe since i have already identified exactly which computers i need.

VP6799: absolutely, i want it, assuming the price is reasonable. shoot me a pm with a price shipped to 20904 and your paypal
