ok, this is all I need to get my car started... but Im totally lost.

I just completed a 5 speed swap on my 91 Notch. The car was originally a 4 cyl 5 speed, but was swapped to a 5.0 AOD. It has a 93 AOD computer in it (Worked fine with he AOD). The car will not start. I replaced the starter relay, and I bridged it with a screw driver and it started right up. But, I cannot start it with the keys. The neutral switch connection on the clutch were made, but that didn't help. My neighbor also bridged the connections (black and gray) with fuses, but that ddnt work either. i have checked and rechecked all the connections on the steering column. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? its driving me crazy lol. Now my car wont start unless i jump it with a screwdriver. please help.

The transmission neutral saftey switch. Has to be. That is the only thing inline with the starter energize wire. If I remember my own AOD, it wants to be in P or N.

Easy fix.....find the white/pink wire running to the starter relay and trace it into the cabin. Remove the steering column shroud. Probe the wires on the underside of the switch and see which one goes hot in the START position and splice the white/pink into this wire.

Bingo!

Ever start a car in gear? It's fun. Jumps half a parking spot ahead. Just remember that!
