I just overhauled my motor and put alot of aftermarket parts on. I put bbk shorties on in place of the stock headers, and now I have no place to put the brackets we used to hoist the motor! any suggestions on what I can do? where can I hook the chain on to? or can I mount the brackets somewhere else. thanks for the feedback!!! my car is an 89 if that helps.

Pull the headers off in the mean time and install just the brackets. Then put the headers back on when you drop in the motor. BBK's should only take about an extra 10 minutes. If you don't want to do that then use a bolt through the chain to one thermactor hole on oppisite corners of the motor on the heads. I really don't like to use an intake mount engine puller.

like he said just take the headers off to put the brackets on it to lift the motor.

Thanks for the feedback guys, got the engine bolted in, will post pics when its all set!
