How much more $$ is the 03 cobra top compare to the regular GT top?

I have asked the dealership.... they say that the two tops are completely different and the 03 cobra top does not fit the late model GT. I find this hard to believe but what do I know? Anyone here ever change their top before. If you get a new one aftermarket with the defroster glass it ends up being about 400 (plus shipping). I would love to hear how difficult it is to change... i need a new one.

The 03 Cobra does use a black cloth top similar to the Jag vert top.. Cloth does tend to cost a little more and definetly does look better when in good condition however the vinyl is obviously more durable to the outside elements such as bird dropping, etc. I too have pondered the thought of switching over to the 03 style top on my 01 vert.

I never noticed it either. I just use ragtopp protectant and it make it look jet black and repel water.

I have never seen ragtop protectant....who makes it and where do you get it?

I have just been using Mothers Convertible top cleaner.

Speaking of cleaning vert top.. what's the best method? All I do is rinse and wait for it to dry. Then spray the cleaning stuff and use a rag to rubb it all over.. The problem is that the spraying stuff does not cover very wide area... any thoughts on this?

to clean, i just use the car wash soap and water and scrub lightly. From time to time you may also want to use a soft brush and brush the top to pull out dirt that's become embedded in the vinyl while washing. For protectant, i use "303 Aerospace Protectant".. it gives it a nice deep dark shine similar to armor all w/o the silicone..
