I saw a Firebird at Kil-Kare run an amazing run in the 1/8th mile last night, 3.94@207mph I also saw a station wagon from Sinclair community college that runs the 1/4 at 179 mph also seen a Astro van run side to side with the grocery getter. OOPs I forgot to mention the Firebird had a JET engine.. It should have been a MUSTANG body it would have ran in the low 3's LOL.

I think it was a V-Tech LOL, It was amazingly fast and put off a lot of heat. They also had a jet semi it ran in the 5 sec range 1/8 mile. You can probably see picture @ Kilkareraceway.com. go to the drag racing link. It was called The Night Of Fire.. They also had a School Bus and a radio flyer wagon that rode wheelies for the whole 1/4 mile. The station wagon was awesome to, I bet it weighed over 4,000 lbs. and that sucker was haulin a$$, it runs the 1/4 @ 179 mph that is moving for a 60,s pontiac I can't remember what model it was now, of course..

I thought Kil-kare was 1/4 mile. I used to live in Xenia and used to love hearing the races even when I was not at the track. Of course I moved away in 1988...WOW 18yrs ago, I bet it has changed a bit. You used to be able to sit on a road that went by the start and watch the races (when I had no money yot get in) I went to the "Night of Fire" a couple of times. One year they had two semi-jet trucks run side by side, that was incredible. I was digging dirt out of places for a couplke of weeks!!!

ENJOY!!!
