Quite honestly, Kilgore has a very good point here...if you can't afford to own it, don't. And if you can't afford to fix it, baby it.

Wet roads would not net you rubber in the wheel wells (unless you're doing a seriously smokey burnout).

You're joking, right?

Warrenty is voided, guess they went with the abuse claim

Still debating if I should build the IRS or swap to a SRA....going to start a thread on that whole operation I suppose.

Yes, had I known when I was buying the car I would be facing this predicament I would have rethought it, but I'll be perfectly straight forward, I went the Cobra route because I wanted a S/C car and the cobra was the ideal platform for it. I also spent the extra $ on a warranty because if was a used car and it being a 400 HP car I had no idea how it was treated prior to me picking it up. Even thou it had 22k miles on it those 22k miles could have been hell, especially since it needed a new clutch which was not covered by warranty, even thou the car was less then a week old. I am going to be canceling my warrenty and applying that money towards the repairs, seeing as how the car is about 4 months old, with 5.5k more miles on it then when I bought it i'm hoping thats a hefty amount, but only time will tell.

Once again I would like to thank all stangnet members for feedback.

That sucks. My guess is that you owe more on it than it's worth, right? Try & get multiple quotes from your mechanic for...

A) fix it & make it the way it was
B) fix it & make it how you want

Also get a good trade in value from a dealer. My guess is that A will be your best bet. Next time just keep off the skinny pedal so much...

HELP WITH REAR DIFF ISSUE!!!!

thats not too bad. just needs a new rear differential cover gasket, or some stop leak. its just a small leak. Just kidding. I feel for ya man. I've had some problems with my car at some bad times as well. I have felt the same way about the car. But in the end when it all gets fixed, you are happy to still own it.

Here is some info you may find useful. Go to E-Bay and look up item number 110441039690. Complete SRA swap for $700. Includes a lot of extras, shocks, Upper and Lower control arms, GT Rear sway bar, Brakes:
LH & RH brake rotors
LH & RH brake calipers
LH & RH brake caliper brackets
LH & RH brake pads
LH & RH ABS sensors
LH & RH Emergency brake cables

also on E-bay is a complete replacement IRS setup with lots of extra goodies if you wanna go that route. Item number 320434879853. Its a little more expensive, around $1100. Hope this helps you out. Also there are some SRA's out of 96-98 GT's for around 450, thats also an idea. But I think they are about an inch narrower if I am not mistaken.
