idle goes up with defrost?

just noticed it today, car idles perfectly at about 700, when i urn on the defrost or mix (defrost/floor) the idle goes up to 950 or so. Any ideas?

That should be normal. It uses the AC system to remove moisture I believe. You see the same thing when you use your AC in the summer.

the guy who tuned your car may have done this quite possibly

it goes up because your A/C is turned on when in defrost, like the previous poster said it uses the A/C as a dehumidifier.
