Im not officially a mustang owner yet. I have a co worker that is going to sell me his 87 5.0 hatch. I actually really love the svt Contour i've had 3 of them. Im coming over to the muscle side i guess due to the fact that the aftermarket for the Fox is insane and runs universes around the Contour aftermarket.

Any ways my goal with this beauty is to be a daily driver 85% of the time and AutoX it the other 15%.

and whats a post w/o pics? just plain ole boring. So here are some

The aftermarket is definitely much better. It may be a bit spendy just to get that thing up to the level of the Contour as far as handling goes. If it was a pretty recent eco-boost Contour, it will feel a bit down on power too.

That aside, the sky is the limit. Here's a good place to start for ideas:

i wish the contour had came with an ecoboost engine lol. They stopped making the SVT Contour in 2000. You might be thinking about a Taurus that comes w/ecoboost

thank you for the welcome and the site links

Not the Taurus... It's the Fusion that I'm thinking of ( I had to look it up even ).

Contour... Contour.... ( I had to look this up too... I'm old )

Yeah.... You should have a ton of fun then. LOL. Chassis and brakes first! Figure out how you want that thing to sit before you even begin to think about wheels. Build the whole car around a nice set of sneakers and brakes.

Hey, did you look at that link I posted? LOTS of nice rides in there. Gives me ideas every time.

No not the owner yet. perhaps after the holidays are over I will purchase it. I've recently been constructing a build/mod list for my 94 Honda f2 w/08+ r6 rear tail conversion. In the next 3 years I will put a 99 CBR rr engine in and add a turbo to it.

I'm also constructing a build sheet for my beloved svt contour just b/c I love that sexy thing lol. Not sure if everything will get done to it but making a dream list isn't so bad
