WTF is this thing? All I can guess is it's a big resistor or something. It has to be, 'cause if its resistance was lower than the internal resistance of the battery the voltage would bypass the battery and not charge it. Weird.

i'm flabbergasted. this is my favorite line:

(It is designed like a big electronic part).

I am an electrical engineer and.....excuse me....I threw up a little bit in my mouth. OH MY GOD! If anyone is actually wondering what the thing is it is a capacitor. Your battery has internal capacitance already. I like their little oscilloscope test. My god. If you battery is working this product is actually worse than useless. WORSE THAN USELESS!! Someone needs to get thier dickhole smashed for marketing this piece of ****.

Also as an electrical engineer, you could argue that a correctly sized and placed capacitor could be used to compensate for the complex impedance present in spark plug wires and the leads to the lead acid battery itself.

Would I buy that thing? Hell no.

Theoretically it would work.

If you mean work as in meets their claims than hell no. If you mean work as in it would make the ignition a tit hair better than yes. Probably the weight of the capacitor will lower your performance more than it would help.

So you electrical engineering guys (im a mechanical engineer....i HATED your courses i had to take in undergrad lol)

Is this a small version of what we add to amplifiers/sound systems?

It is pretty technical so but I think the best way to explain this to a mech E is
"It is designed like a big electronic part"

but yes I believe that is what they are getting at. Alternators and collapsing ignition coils fields make electrical noise. But adding a capacitor isn't going to make any noticable difference. The reason stereos use caps are because they pull large amounts of current much larger than an ignition coil so it makes life easier on the alternator.

Man, I can't even concentrate this product is so stupid. lol

Q. What do you call an electrical engineer that fails out?

A. mechanical engineer.

This goes all the way through civil engineer, industrial engineer, then management engineer...

So when you use a capacitor in this way its for power conditioning, when you use it with an amplifier its for power support... IE, the capacitor in your car's system is storing power, so when all of a sudden the beat hits, and your amp drains a lot of power, it will take the extra that it needs from the charged up capacitor instead of doing things like dimming your lights. Capacitor will charge up automatically waiting for the next hit of bass.

So, just so I'm clear, is this designed to work like a big electronic part, or should I buy 3 Tornadoes to increase my mileage by 50mpg while gaining 200+ hp?

Or should I just buy a bag of doritos?

Im pretty sure they know its a total scam and piece of crap. They are not actually trying to push a product based on its merits but more so in impulse purchases and stupidity
