Well, tomorrow (WED) will be 6 weeks since my back surgery.
Went to the MD on Monday, and they did an X-ray to check the spinal fusion.

The rod and 2 screws are securely in place, and the fusion took as expected. TODAY was my first FULL day without my back brace. I still have quite a bit of pain, but the Dr said I can "try" to do whatever the pain allows...even lifting heavy weight...He said that the fusion "aint goin' nowhere"

Im still very stiff and sore, and I need to regain a lot of strength and flexibility. I have 4 weeks of Physical Therapy coming up, which begins Wed AM. They will work on flexibility, strengthening, and do some ultrasound and electrical stimulation.

So far keeping the Stang seems more and more realisting.

Good to hear ...the elec. stim is GREAT BTW, I had it after a car accident slipd' a few disks in my lower back when I was 17. GREAT naps

Awsome news, I bet the mustang has alittle smile as well

so whats the back issue have to do with keeping or getting rid of the car?

bending over a car to work on it would suck alot more. IIRC he has a motor that is starting to go south or getting up in miles so he will have to work on it to get it were he wants it to be.

Having a messed up back myself, it is really painfull after alittle while and why I often walk away for a few months at a time from it.

Like said below your question....cant even change sparkplugs with bad back...Cant send car out for EVERY issue.

They know the beer AND lunch at Chili's are both on me...Plus access to the pool and Jacuzzi.

LOL!!

P.T. was rough today... general strength was ok, calves and quads were fine, but the HAMSTRINGS...

Only about 40% R.O.M in left (should be 90* if you lie flat on back, keep leg straight, and lift to ceiling---see photo), and about 60% on the right side. The Physical therapist was like DAYEMmmmmm The R..O.M per se was not bad, just really disproportionate to the rest of my strength and flexibility.

I HATE FREAKING STRETCHING!!!

ANYWAY, she said the scar healing looks REALLY good.
