I bet he is wanting to know what size the NA has. They are 14lb/hr injectors, and you can get some 19's from various 5.0's and tons of other ford vehicles.
yes bhuff30 your on the same track that i'm thinking. this is my situation= a 1987 s/d efi used in racing at high rpm, head has been mild and ported, at end of race spark plugs are very white in appearance, not enough fuel. i think the injectors are at the 80% duty cycle now and i was wondering if i went with a bigger injector if that would help with getting more fuel? and also i plan on moving the ACT sensor from the intake manifold to the air inlet tube near the air cleaner where the air temp is much cooler. any help would be appreciated.
sorry but i forgot something else. if the 19lb/hr would work what type of vehicle would they come out of? mustang,t-bird w/5.0 are just any ford vehicle with a 5.0?
I know the HO 5.0 got 19lb/hr injectors with the correct resistance. I beleive they had orange/tan tops, as compared with your current injectors which are gray tops. You should be able to easily get a set of injectors from a 5.0 guy that threw in bigger injectors or look around the junk yards for orange/tan tops. They will probably look like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...tem=7944219122&category=33554&sspagename=WDVW
You may have to play with the fuel pressure a little. It may be quite rich at low rpms.
This is where I wonder if this will work. I always heard when going to the next size injector like a 19lb on a N/A 2.3L you need the matched MAF.Anyways, will the SD just work right off the bat when he drops in the 19's
PS. you can usualy find a set of 8 19lb high pendence ( how ever its spelled lol) off a 5.0 on ebay thats pretty new. Just turn around and sell the other 4 to someone else doing the same thing as you are.
