I have a
victor efi it says 4000to8000 rpms
now whats suppose to happen beneath 4k?

I have sluggish power beneath and its aggrivating.
My question is...are these made for racing only? when i get to 3k rpms the car starts to come together real sweet and it pulls wayyy into the red zone easily.
It fels like it will pull to 7500 8000 but u havent passed 7k yet

the prob is its on a street car

The intake is made for basically racing applications. It's not a great intake for every day driving with it's very short runners and no low end torque. I'm sure you do pull like a mother in the upper RPMs, but unless this is an all out race car... I'd go with a Systemax or RPM II which will make for a lot more fun street car.

Remember, it's not all about peak HP. When you get your ass handed to you by a car with 60 less peak hp you will know why. It's about what's under the curve. A broad torque curve will win you stop light to stop light races, not peak HP

it has nothing to do with gearing in this situation. the simple fact is that your not gonna be able to rev it high enough to make power. since you have RPM heads, and a cam that is prolly too big for those heads, try an RPM2 intake at best.

Like I said...I can floor it...and just pump the clutch at 6000 to shift..shelll jump to 7000,73 maybe "cause im real fast"withthe gas to the floor still and keep her up in that range and I kill anything next to me.
If i granny shift and let rpms get under 25 the power dont come back until she gets back over 4k

actually thats the only way to her in her "real power band" i have 410 gears

Im beginning to think the guy who built my combo is an idiot??
