Is there a FAQ that will tell me what all i have to do to make a volvo DOHC head work

wow you shouldn't set your goals so low. Challenge yourself and do something hard like window stickers.

merkurtech.com will give yuo an understanding of what needs to be done generally.
and go to TF it is being discussed heavily there now

Just remember, I only gave you the rope, you hung yourself.
This is by far the one of the most advanced modifications you can do. While the description given is fairly detailed, you will definatly need substatial automotive and machining experience to pull it off. Chances are that you don't own a machine shop and you don't know how to TIG weld. Thats going to make it fairly expensive as you pay for machine work, or it will end up a non-running hack project.
I would still without a doubt advise you to get a J-yard turbo motor. This will set you back at the most $500 and give you invauable experience with the 2.3 and cars in general. Worst case, you will only be out $500, and you probably had a ton of fun doing it.
Just my opinion.

its gonna be years before i can do the volvo head thing so its just a fall back option i just goonna research it at the moment till then

plenty of pics, etc. that site bhuff listed got it's write-up off 2300-16v also.

I'm in the process of doing a write-up as I go along with my volvo swap, I'm in the middle of "massaging" the block on the back of the head and working the water passages to my liking at the moment though.
