I noticed a sound today coming from the passenger side of the motor. I only noticed it under load and between 1800 - 2800 rpms, pretty much through second and third gear. It kinda sounds like very faint ticking.
I'm really sensitive about ticking from the engine because i already lost one motor (which had a very distinct tick coming from the passenger head)

Help me guys, i hope this is just an exhaust leak

kind of hard to tell over a few words of text, but if it is under warranty it wouldnt hurt to have it looked at. especially if you already lost one block.

good luck

got the same problem on my 01. wasn't sure if it was an exhaust leak or not until just the other day. I was only experiencing the "ticking" under load also, until, i started the car w/ the door open, and i noticed it's not actually coming from the engine compartment. I didn't hear the ticking when reving a little bit in neutral w/ the door open, however i did hear a sound which i would equate to the sound of rustling leaves under the car. I'm thinking that while driving, the ticking i actually hear is from under the car now

sounds like a exhaust leak too me... a lot of modulars have them... right at the manifolds some times the studs rot out ... not that fun of a repair if it's that..
