Hey guys,
On my driver's side valve cover is a plastic hose that runs across the engine to the air intake tube. There is liquid that leaks out onto the valve cover from the elbow where it plugs onto the valve cover, not a lot but it is wet after starting the car and letting it idle for about 1 min and there is a stain on the valve cover that indicates this is a recurring problem. Does anyone know the cause of this and if this is serious or not? Thanks.

I would guess that is the ventilation for it much like a pcv valve but I guess ford decided not to put a valve there so it may be oil? maybe a seal or something that goes there is bad and letting oil pass by?

That is your crankcase ventilation tube and it vents crankcase gases into the intake to be burned. It is normal to see some leakage onto the valve cover where the tube plugs in...

yeah, i would not worry about it unless it is very noticible--> like very excessive. a little is normal.

I wouldn't be TOO worried about it...although I would keep a CLOSE eye on it because once it goes, it could cause problems. If I were you I'd have it looked at by a mechanic and have him give his professional opinion.
