It could be the last '70 on earth, but it won't change the fact that it is a coupe. The sport roof and convertible should have been the only body styles available for '69 and '70. Maybe that's why so few with those options were produced/ordered. All that nice stuff on a gimp looking body - just not right. Even if it is valued at that price, I'd still covet a mach 1 or boss.

It's not the rarest, but it's very uncommon. the rarest is the same driveline in a 'Vert. Much rarer than Shelbys. Most of these cars were ordered for one thing: Drag Racing!

As Cheapsk8 said the car was built for one reason - Drag Racing! It is the lightest body style (by a couple of Hundred on the Mach 1) with the Largest engine available with all go fast goodies. That car is a surviver - think about what it was purchased for and to be uncut, not backhalved, and not roll caged is just stunning. That car is the Ford equivalent to a Hemi powered Polara - not the best body style, but damn sure rare and quick. Is it worth 125k? I wouldn't pay it - but someone with more money might want something that rare and unusual to pay it. Boss 429's are selling at 60k + now... and that car is much more 'rare' than a Boss.

Yeah, but I drive a '68. I actually don't like the fastbacks in my year.

65/66 vert then coupe
67/68 coupe then vert
69/70 sportroof then vert

I used to like coupes almost as much as fastbacks and sporties. I like the 67/68 coupes better than standard fasties though, the rear end on those things just looks shrunken and sunken. Shelbys fixed that though. Also, the 67/68 coupe just looks tuff.
