IT had been nice to know a lot of you guys here on Stangnet and down at Pacificraceway. I put my Mustang on its roof on Friday afternoon in Redmond,I think the reason I am still alive is due to the seat belt, air bag and my 6 point rollbar. The car body is a total loss, but everything else(motor, running gears and supercharger is still in good shape ). I am going to sell it whole asap.
This is a wake up call for me... I am getting out of the sport for ever,I think I will enjoy driving my Kia and fishing from now on . I meet some really nice peoples over the year and I will always be their friend as long as they still buy me lunchs once in a while.
I think my trouble is just starting,The police might just throw the book at me,so I am going to look for a lawyer next week. What kind of charge they might level at me. Any idea ?

Kin.

P.S. All this and I did not even make the 5 o'clock news.

Sorry about the accident, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I'm glad you're OK. Also sorry to see you leaving the group, but I can understand. As for what charges, it all depends on what you were doing and what damage was done.

Thank you for the kind words, the funny things is that I was not doing anything crazy,I was just taking the car out for a drive and heading down to Redmond for lunch. I was going with traffic(speed limit 40mph)might be doing 40-45mph and must have doze off ( Stay up late watching some new DVD movies ). I feel the car fishtail a little and realize I am drafting off to the next lane and I guess I over correcting and start a chain reaction I can't control ( The car just going L/R and L/R ).Went on the sidewalk and hit a glancing blow on some rocks by this guys front driveway that put the car on 2 wheels and flap it over. So the only major damage is to my car and knock the rocks on the guys front yard a bit. Everything happen so fast. I don't think I even put on the brake or I nail the gas, since the driver behind me said they hear my engine rev-up and started to fishtail, one said he did not see the brake light come on at all.

Time,

Sorry to hear about you incident. I don't think any books are going to get thrown at you. You didn't hurt anyone else and that's the best thing to can ask for in an accident. I don't know if you remember but you bought an AOD tranny to get by from me. Do you still have it? I know someone that might be interested. And how much are you going to want for your car? Good luck with your fishing.

Sorry to hear about your accident, glad to hear that you're okay.

I doubt they're going to throw the book at you. Driving while exhausted is dumb, not criminal. Might get a citation, but since almost all of the damage was to your own car, you might escape even that.

I hope your Kia is as safe as your Mustang, if you make a habit of falling asleep at the wheel .

Oh man! Glad to hear you're OK!

I don't think the cops will do anything to you in terms of getting charged with things... might get a little suit about property damages, but insurance should cover that.

OT: What kind of blower do you have and what's the chance of it fitting on my 01? and how much are you asking for the whole car?

It's a 93LX...There's no way the ATI P600 blower will fit your engine unless you want to make all the bracketry, belt drive, piping, etc.

HOLY CHIT KIN! I am happy to hear that you are alright my friend. Sorry to hear about the accident, don't let it weigh too much on your concience though. If the cops didn't give you a ticket at the scene, they probably won't give you one. Also sorry to hear that you are getting out of the sport, I understand though. Hopefully we will still see you around or hear from you every once in awhile. Take care of yourself.

You got 18k to give me for it? That's what I got into it in parts alone. See sig for punchline. I don't really think I'll ever get rid of it.

That's a bit of bad luck, Kin. It sounds as though the power potential of your car had nothing to do with the accident. Maybe you should give the situation a bit more time before you sell the car. The insurance will probably do that for you, anyway. If you had single car accident, with no other injuries of property damage, you have little to fear from the police.
