Thanks!

Well, I'm thinking that I'll probably have it back on the road in a few more weeks. A few things still need to get sprayed and then we need to put everything back together. Then, I have to worry about what I'm going to do with the interior.

Well it looks great, looks like it belongs on Lateral-g.net with the other pro touring cars. What kind of hood are you using, it looks like you have the E-2 front clip, are you running that hood as well?

Thanks a lot. I actually did do a lot of suspension work to make the car handle well. The front is all TCP and the rear is a Griggs GR-350 coilover setup with a minitub.

No, I decided to go with a cowl hood instead.

Very nice! I love the color combo. Any shots of the underside?

No, I don't have any pics of the underside right now, but I'll make sure to get some soon.

Very nice! Did you have it media blasted and epoxy primered? I am just curious because that looks like bellmont/san carlos area and I am trying to get a feel for prices out here.

Yeah, you're right, it is San Carlos. It's at a shop that my dad works at. I had the car media blasted a few years ago in San Leandro and I think it was a few hundred dollars or something. The car was epoxy primered at the shop. My dad did all of the body modifications and body work and nearly all of the prep work before paint, so I have no idea what it would cost. A guy my dad knows painted the car, so overall it didn't cost much. The shop where it's at doesn't do this kind of work.

Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to do something a little different. My dad also did a ton of modifications to the body that are subtle like shaving and molding everything. He flared the fenders, shaved the drip rails, molded over the cowl, molded the gas cap, molded the bumper bolts so the bumper can be painted, and built and molded an insert for the rear side windows. He even built the body around the windshield and rear window to eliminate the rubber gasket and chrome trim (you can't tell since the windshield isn't in, but can kind of see part of the rear window). Everything blends in really well. My dad has never done anything like this before.

Hey nonosstang. Do you have any pics of the drip rails and cowl. I am starting a resto on my 68 rustang and going to do something close to that.

Super nice! I'm loving the shaved cowl and drip rails! The lines look very crisp and straight.

How are you bringing fresh air into the cabin with the cowl shaved?

Please keep us updated, looks great!
