Anyone have any experience with a Jasper engine? Are they of good quality? I know of a 85 Mustang convertible for sale and it has a jasper engine in it. I dont know anything about them, but have heard the name before.
Jasper is a high volume engine rebuilder. Sometimes the quality control is iffy.
I would check to see if the engine came with a warranty and if it is transferrable. If it was a stock rebuild, it should have a warranty. I do not think that there hi-po motors com with a warr though.
What kind of conditon is the rest of the car in?? Why was the motor replaced??
If the motor runs good, doesnt smoke or have strange noises and the price is right, I would not worry about it too much.
Im not exactly sure what motor is in it, whether its a hi-po or not. I just know its a Jasper motor. I havent seen the car it person yet, hopefully ill go check it out soon. From the pictures the car looks in good condition. The jasper motor has 10,000 miles on it, so i wuld hope it has no issues.
I more looking for a vehicle to drive around while i pull the motor out of my notch. And if this car is in good condition and i can get a good deal for it, the 4-eye convert might be the car im looking for.
