One that made a point that its not overly difficult to hit high 12's. He listed a Bullitt with minimal mods that was at 13.3. With suspension mods and a little weight off of it, it could hit 12's. It was a fine post, you guys are being to critical. Hell the person who started the thread didnt even hit 12's yet..
Why the hell is everyone on eachothers @##'s about little things here on stangnet?

Exactly.
I guess my Bullitt needs to hit the track to pull a 12 so this argument is over.

I'd be hard pressed to hit a 12 though until the gears are in.

The launch technique is as follows: Rev it up to about 5 grand and sidestep the clutch, than shift cause you'll be at reline in about .5 secnds. As far as the clutch packs go: The rear end was rubuilt last week with all stock components, but was set yp very tight. It hops around corners now.lol

I am new to racing my stang and have only made a few passes..I know some people definitions of terms vary so I am curious about what side stepping the clutch means?

Hope I don't get flamed but we all have to learn

two things, i member of the forum I am usually on SSOTN has pretty much the same setup as you and runs in the high 12's. though he is still running the stock springs, and stock tune. BUT the things you are missing, He is running a MAC prochamber, and a timing adjuster with his timing I believe set at 16*. I did not see an aftermarket midpipe listed on your mods that will definatly make a nice improvement over the stocker, as for timing I dont know what all your tune is set at so I cant say their. Good luck getting into the 12 sec. club..

well, he said its not that hard to do. it isnt, but his example sure a **** didnt get there. Your springs and weight off doesnt sound liike the problem either, i did it on a stock suspension at 3550+lbs race weight so......ITS THE DRIVER, or the track conditions(atmospheric, hook and so on)

I've got a custom tune so the timing is bumped and the A/F ratio is lean..... Way lean.lol... It pings unless I put 94 octane + octane boost!
