So I go to the local junkyard because Im on a notify list that I subscribed to that I get an email when they get in a mustang within the year range I put in

Soon as I got the email I dropped everything and went straight there hoping to score a few interior items. After walking through an endless maze of tauruses, explorers, town cars, I finally spot it. Apparently one person beat me to it because nothing other than the steering column was gone

It seems as though people sign a contract that, once they pull the part they need, they're required to take a sledgehammer and beat the living devil out of the rest of the interior so noone else can use anything else

Like they used a comealong to pull the steering column

this is like the 4th time Ive walked up on one that way

just ranting...

You have to realize, that at this point, Fox enthusiasts are still like a nitche market. Most people looking for a part or two don't realize or care about the rest of the public. It still sucks though, and i know your pain.

They only have to pay for the parts they take, not if they destroy them or not so what do they care? The other type of junkyards they pull the part for you, and they usually have more, but damn if they are not expensive, might as well buy new. Like MPS, you think you are talking to a new car dealership parts department when you talk to them.

Like people who will hack a clean dashboard to get a heater box or gauge cluster.
