Well,
As mentioned, The ones from Sarasota Fl are $800 shipped, so if That other auction is approaching $600, I dont think it's worth it.

I emailed them to ask if those rims were NEW, PACKAGED, and UNBLEMISHED..

IF so, then I will DEFINITELY bid on them tonight!

Thanks
RC

. Some of the wheels he sells are blemished and some are not. You have to read the auctions to find out.
Good luck!

Does he state on the auction "blemished" or does he just not say anything?

Reason I ask is that lots of times if the rims are new, the seller makes it a big point to say

BRAND NEW!!

Yea he does. Look in the first link I posted above. In the auction he says "This an awesome new set of wheels!" Like I said you have to read them.

I would recommend you buy from the guy in the link and save yourself about 200 or more dollars. He sells blemished AFS wheels that don't come out right when they make them, he also sells new wheels. When I recieved my wheels they were packaged in AFS boxes. cleanin_out_the_garage. Just make sure that it says that they are new.

There is a difference b/t saying "an awesome new set of wheels" all in the same size and font, and Highlighting the words "BRAND NEW"

I used to teach, and this is a play on words...They put the word "AWESOME" in front of the word "new" to make that word stick in your mind.

I emailed them and asked

1. are they BRAND NEW
2. are they UNBLEMISHED and UNMARKED
3 are they in the original pckg

The reply I got was:

"Hi, thanks, yes these wheels are new"

If I really wanted somebody to buy my product and didnt lie, I would say

"YES, NEW, UNBLEMISHED, PERFECT CONDITION"...THey didnt do that

Well excuse them for not being teachers and not wording their auctions to your expectations. I'm done with you.

CHILL DUDE!

Im not complaining that they are NOT teachers. Im saying that I "learned" about how these people/places will "word" things in such a way that make you think things are different from what they are.

Ill give an example:

Advil's ad states: "Nothing is better for pain". This makes you think that Advil is the STRONGEST and BEST pain reliever. Well in studies, the ingredient in Advil (Ibuprofen) was shown much better than placebo, but EQUIVALENT to naproxen (the ingredient in Aleve) and aspirin.

So when they say "nothing is better" it' because they are equal. Advil doesnt say "Ours is stronger than theirs"

BTW: the guy emailed me back and said that their "may" be blemishes, but only noticeable up close. To me this is an important factor, and should have been included in the auction listing.

the reason i'll probably go with AFS is because they allow local pickup so i can save the $120 shipping by just driving up to LA (2 hrs round trip)

RC, I know how you feel about missing out on those rims for that price. I missed out on some white ones 17x9 and 17x10.5 for $330 and another time they went for $370....$80 for shipping. I hate when I don't have the money to jump on deals like that.
