i just finished putting on my flowmaster 40's. i was going to dump it but decided to put the tailpipes back on. it isnt much louder, its throaty but im kinda dissapointed. should i dump it?

You got a catted H pipe? If so, get rid of the cats if you can, unless you have to go through emissions testing. You can always punch the center out of the cats so it "looks" like they're on.
I felt the same way when I had my 40's put on.. they weren't much more aggressive sounding than the stockers. But once I had the cats removed, man it sounded like a totally different beast..
with my 40 series and tailpipes the car was pretty quite, even with a o/r
x-pipe, once I had them dumped, this thing screams. Sound is awesome, but kind of got to me after a while.
