Opentracker, I looked in your list there and clicked on the Toploader link. This is the first time I've been to Toploader Heaven's site. Just from what I read on buying a used Toploader, I would recommend ( in Mark's own words ) Walk away from his site. He gives OK info on buying a used Toploader, but bad advice on walking away from ANY sign of damage. Most of the instances of damaged parts he describes can be fixed very easily, in most cases on your own, with replacement parts. I've bought several used Toploaders that needed repairs, for very little money ( both in purchase price and replacement parts) These "broken" Toploaders can be repaired in most cases and in doing so you can end up with a good serviceable transmission for way less than you'd pay for a "good" Toploader. I guess that in giving that advice on walking away from a damaged Toploader, Mark figures that he may end up with these "broken" Toploaders himself ,eventually, thereby repairing them himself and making a huge profit in the process.
