Thanks guys,

I have not had work done there but i have heard they do very good work and are friendly and knowledgable. A friend of mine recommends them.

I spent several hours in their shop on a dyno day and they were a great bunch, even though the rest of our group didn't show up. Very friendly and they really know a lot about mustangs. I didn't hesitate to drive the 2 hours back to their shop to have my gears installed and my ECU flashed. Their prices aren't bad and they gave me several good tips for the track too.

I went there for a autologic tune, and I'll be going back there for a SCT tune with my new combo. And I live 5 hrs away. They're the only ones that will touch my car.

I think I paid around $650 for the gear install and computer flash. I don't know what a good price would be too check yours out. The best advice I can give is to call the shop and speak with Dave Guy about it or email them from their website. Also, if you still want more opinions you could try posting this in the mid-atlantic and/or northeast forums.

Dave tuned my Procharged 02 GT(reflashed)and was a pleasure to deal with.I'll go back again as needed for other stuff .2 1/2hour ride. Their prices were competitive .They are not hucksters or hustlers. What ever they charge you for mods, the job will be quality and correct the 1st time.

edit...I felt that the prices were very good

I go to Dickinson in Carlisle. I might take the car there after thanksgiving break for a dyno run and for them to check out my gears..they whine a little and i get a slight vibration when decelrating from about 85/90 in 4th gear after a hard pull...might be paranoia but i want to make sure.
Mike
p.s anyone know what they charge per hour of labor?

They charged me $350 for install and computer reflash and I provided the gears. No complaints on the work and they seemed pretty friendly.

I went to JD's Performance had my vortech tuned and it ran like night and day after the tune. I would recommand these guys because they did the chip instead of the computer tune. Talk to Rick good guy and should hook up up with a deal. BTW i went to Shippensburg but transfered to West Chester. Ship was alot to handle LOL.

Where's JD's? I called Kauffman today and they were plenty nice and helpfull on the phone. Said it would be about 85 to tear the rear down and see if the backlash and everything is correct in with the gear install. They said it would be 250 to take the gears out, and re-install them, maybe a little less.

JD's is in Huntingdon Valley, PA, right outside of Philly.

They will be more than Kauffmans. JD's work is very high quality. Good enough for me to send my car from Florida when it comes time to do the rebuild.
