they don't have an intercooler option for our kb's, a water/meth injection kit is a necessity. then there is the fuel system upgrade, maf, tb, injectors, ignition, ported lower, the tuning, the gauges, the clutch. it is a alot of work and the costs add up. sometimes i wish it was just done so i could just drive it and have fun with it without worrying about it.

maybe if i had a garage and more time, i'd feel differently about it, but there is something to be said for a car you can buy and just be done with it.

don't get me wrong, i love my kb'd pushrod stang, but if i had the $$$, i'd definately go to a 03/04 cobra vert. it already can handle all kinds of power and i could upgrade the blower to a kb later if i felt the need for more power.

The blown Cobra's do have a lot to offer, thats for sure

As Dave said, unless you have had one, you really don't know!

For me that is true and I don't claim to know a lot about them.

However

As I did more and more of the research and planning of my combo, my expectations grew as I dug up more data.

That was said to only show my expectations were quite high for my current sig combo. After it was all said and done, I got what I expected and then some.

For me, there is a great deal of satisfaction in knowing I dreamed up and built my Stang with my very own hands and it turned out better than planned.

That is something I do know about!

I've writen a check for a factory hot rod before.
Its cool and everything ... no doubt about it.
but
It just ain't the same.

Then again .............

94-95 Stang just like you want it
or
Bad Boy Blown Cobra

How could you loose with either one

03 cobras are great. If you can afford one, go for it. The power and streetability is great!

For me, its crazy to have a 26k car sitting in the garage 5 months out of the year. Keep in mind im only 22, you may be much older and have alot more money then i do

Just remember.. if you get one, and you do the normal crap, run mid 11's and make 500ish rwhp. Dont expect to wow people, its just another 03 cobra.

The blower was on ebay for a thunderbird 5.0 not a mustang I checked with kenne bell and the part neccessary to get it to fit a mustang is a spacer bushing for 20 bucks. So look for the thunderbird kennebell. No body bid so I got it for 800. Anyways running it at 10psi, so much torque that I am putting 315 nitto 555R's on tommorow with new wheels that arrive, black fr500's can't wait!!

No question i blow my buddies doors off his 04 cobra, but im running 23lbs of boost

its not that im not happy with it, but there is no way i could say that it is very reliable, there is always something that needs tweeking, and with over 600 ponies its a bear on gas on i worry about it every where i go.

so yeah ill keep it and get the 03 cobra, daily drive that till it gets around 100k on it then go overboard on it like i did the notch.
