mines not an auto, but its got 290 to the wheels. It was fast. Not really pin your head fast, but I could walk ALL over ricers. Was a great feeling, but I got used to it and want to go even faster, the stang should be out of the shop this week with twin turbos. 300hp to the wheels is nothing to joke about IMO.

I had 290+ at the rear wheels! I also had 3.90 gears. The car was a BLAST to drive and very reliable! I prolly should have left it that way too.. but I got bit by the HP bug. One day I was in a parking lot waiting and I thought mmman would it be cool to throw a 408 in this thing. Soo...I just went for it lol.

BUT to answer your ques, the diff between that and stock is astounding. The car takes off like a missle and doesn't stop at 4000, 5000 ..it pulls to 6k set up right and bam shift . The 5.0's have something about the shifts with that kind of power where they SNAAAP your head back. The power was suprisingly smooth too. Must like my b'mer but better of course. There's no reason it wouldn't do 12's.

I do the three pedal thing myself ... but ... Never the less

I'll give you my grown daughter's reply after her first ride in my little 95GT

I gave her a 3rd gear blast from about 2K to 5K

"Wow dad"

"It feels like some gigantic hand pushing you real hard down the road"

Well...Grady has the LT headers on his too. It's a "special" mod that even if you have the same rwhp as him or even more...those LT's just take the car to another level.

I saw your thread and realized my above post did not tell you much in
the way of an answer

I will try to be more specific using my little GT as an example

1st gear is most likely no different from a Stock Stang when you talk
about traction as there is none

2nd gear will hold ... most of the time ... if I don't snap the skinny
pedal too quick to the floor

3rd gear just rocks
If I got a good stretch of road ... It is a lot of fun

4th gear is fun also
as you really get to feel the torque of the powerband

Gas milage around town is bad how bad? ... never checked
however
Highway is around 19mpg with a cruise speed of 75mph for an average

Honestly ... I drive it abound town in such a way that is N O T conducive
to obtaining good gas milage

Its a Hot Rod ... I don't care about gas milage!

The little GT is only a weekend toy but it could be driven every day
so
It is quite reliable

I did the custom tune thing
so
With the exception of cam lope at idle .......
in every way ... it behaves like a little Stocker Stang :Word:

With the cam lope and all ........
at times it can be a bit over the top as they say

Peeps gawk when me and wifee go through drive ins

The local police give it the once over
when they pull up next us at stop lights

Thats all I can think of for now
but
I'll be happy to answer any other Q's you might think of

Hope that helps you to relate

Grady

my last combo put down 340/390 but I have not had it tuned or dynoed on the recent combo but yeah it sets you back in your seat. 300+ RWHP N/A and a good set of gears will really give anyone riding w/ you an "OH $HIT" moment.

I got just over 300hp at the wheels. My stang was my first V8, so the stock motor I thought was bad ass. After I built the 331 and tuned it 2 yrs ago, I won't lie, it scared me a little how it got up and went. Now, I got the HP bug again and looking for new mods.
