I posted this on my club site. So bare with me on the story, it was originally written for a more localized group.

---------------------------------

Some of you have helped me work on the car over the winter. Those that have, thanks. If it was warm enough for the garage to be open, or we were unloading something odds are you heard a very loud and annoying F-body go in or out of the townhouses. It looks a LOT like Jimmy's car. It's black and sounds just as bad too. Cut outs I guess...

I've had an on going "situation" with this person. If he can see the Mustang he revs the hell out of his car, and/or drops the hammer like a bat out of hell. When you can hear the car from 2 blocks away. He's hard to miss, even with your head buried in the car wrenchin away. I've been waiting to say something to the guy until I got my car back on the road.

Last night, I was talking to Carrie on my cell. We BOTH hear the f-body coming. (Yes, it's that loud) All the sudden I see a YELLOW f-body come up the road. I tell Carrie he must have a new friend.... then I look closer. Wait, no.... WTF?

It appears he spray painted the car yellow! There's over spray on the wheels, tires, windows, exhaust, you name it, it's yellow. You can see razor blade marks on the rear window trying to get the paint off. Okay... interesting.

He hauls arse leaving and puts on a little show, like always. Soon, we hear him again coming back to the townhouses. He rounds the corner.... and punches it. The arse end gets sideways, he makes a lot of racket. I make a comment about how he's all over the road. He just... gets out of my vision around the building and I go back to my phone call. Then WHAM! Carrie yells, "What was that?" I go sprinting around the building

Here's what I see:

The Probe was parked on the side of the road. Apparently it's been abandoned. It's been there a while. The T/A knocked the Probe back 8 feet or so, then spun it around.

There was a couple that witnessed the whole incident. They were turning in behind the T/A. So luckily they didn't take my name. The guy obviously knows who I am. And that we park one or two of our cars outside. I don't need any MORE problems than I already have. :x

The story about the car sticking in third and that he came to almost a complete stop before hitting the car made the witness laugh out loud. The police officer said," How about we try this story ONE more time. I can see the black marks in the road and the skid marks up here over the curb."

tsk tsk....had to show off his..err.."new" paintjob, huh? I know someone like that around the apartments I live at. Everytime I'm out doing something I'll see him drive by and side-step the clutch....he chirps his lil celica's tires for a split second. One time he almost hit a lady in front of him.

And, just like you, the guy that always does it has a HORRIBLE sounding exhaust.

luckily no one was hurt...maybe his pride

LOL @ back window....apparently this guy isn't too bright huh? I mean come on, you could at least tape some paper towels on there before you paint it.

Hitting a parked car is probably the dumbest thing you could ever do.

Looks like the Probe came out on top.

I hope that asshat only has liability and ends up driving a '91 Civic...or better yet, taking the short bus.

Well, He DID paint his car yellow.

Funny thing. My neighbor is just like that. (Has an F body, too. Complete with replaced front end pieces, cause he couldn't stop and he hit another car. Since this thread has started, I'll get pics of it.) He goes out every weekday morning at 7:30, starts the car, revs the piss out of it for 30 seconds and then goes to work. He parks right under my window. He runs a catless, 2-chamber Flowmaster exhaust. Must be something in the F body gene's.

How come the Probe has minimal damage compared to the T/A? Did he hit something else first?

The front end of the f-body just fell apart, plastic or fiberglass. It wasn't wrecked before that I could tell. If it was it had been painted pretty good before the um... yellow paint job. You should see the passenger air bag in one picture. I don't recall if the drivers side was blown or not.

I'm amazed they didn't check for alcohol or drugs. The guy with a coat "might" have been a friend of his... they stood together and talked, away from the cops. In the pictures, you can see headlights shining on the car. I'm standing in front of the patrol car.

One of the cops said they recognized the driver, but wouldn't say what call they responded to that he was at, until they walked away from the witnesses to tell their story.
