I have an 01 GT. The power steering rack has a slow leak. Is this a common problem and if so can it be fixed or should it be replaced? Where is the best place to buy a new one? Thanks...

when mine was leaking i got one from the dealer taht was re-manufactured but i got a discount on it plus some money back for the core exchange so i would go to autozone and see how much for a rack

it's not very common for the rack to leak on mustangs, but it is very common on other fords. the RMP remans we use seem to be ok. just make sure you flush the lines and the pump out really really good or you will be installing another rack in less than a year.
