so i just did my clutch and we all know how much work that is, and ive been so happy being back in my stang. but it seems now im leaking tranny fluid from somewhere, not sure exactly where though. at first thought it was the shifter, but we resealed that and still leaks, is there a overfill hole or something, cause when i put everything back in, i may have added too much fluid, i lost quite abit on the dissassembly. or any other ideas where it could be leaking, the only places im sure its not are, speedo cable area and shifter.

oh btw, its also on the right side of the tranny(passenger side). the driver side is dry other than the dripping. if that helps, thx.

the fill and drain holes for the trans are on the passenger side. Just try to feel around up there to see where it's coming from. Maybe the plugs just need to be snugged up or need some teflon tape on the threads. Personally my trans leaks too. I know It's my tailshaft though. I'm thinking of trying to find that tar like stop leak stuff for a transmission and see if that works. It really not worth me fixing since I'm going tremec very soon anyway.

Sounds like either your fill or drain hole. Open the top one up (take just the end of a 3/8 wratchet) and if fluid comes out you over filled, if not then you need to add until a thin portion comes out. It sounds like thats the problem. Good Luck

Yea so i just pulled the top drain plug, and man at least 1/2 a quart of ATF poured out, lol guess i did put too much in. well better than not enough i say. so the leaking should stop, just need to clean off the tranny, and burn the rest of the fluid off i guess. thx guys.
