Was just thinking how exotic performance cars have leather or suade coverd dashes and doors and thought it might give a nice luxurious tuch I was just thinking the top of the dash and the black sections of the doors and a-pillar. My interior is black and saddle and I want to change out my tan seats with 03/04 Termi seats with the black suade centers and thought if I made the black plastic in the car black suade it would all come together.

I have been contemplating this forever. So much plastic in these cars it makes me sick. With all the bad ass billet we have for these cars. Cover the rest in suede or leather. Look at the dash in an Aston Martin, the stiching cascading down the console. Pure filth... Why would you not want to do it. I have painted to hard plactic in my car gloss black. Cut and buffed it. Put in all the billit I can afford, almost done with it. Working on ambient lighting. My father in law has and Audi A8L that has 2 red LED's in the rear view mirror that put out a subtle red glow in the cabin. At night, its awesome with all the red LED lighting. I plan on doing a similar mod to a make the car less like a mustang and more like a european luxury touring car.

There is just something about being surrounded in natural materials that make the drive more fun then the destination could ever be.

i too have always wondered if something such as this was possible. something to make the interior a little less cheap feeling. i understand the mustang isnt a lexus or bmw, but the hard plastic is not appealing. especially when i go from driving my dads g35 coupe to the stang.

looks like my dad's audi

Just make sure you don't go suede, you'll stain it in the first month - with virtually no way to clean it.

I do see anything wrong with wanting to make the car a nice place to be. I mean, we spend thousand and thousands on makeing the car go fast. Why not make it nice too. Dynamat the interior. Cover everything in leather or whatever. Add some LED lighting and a nice great sounding stereo. I don't plan on ever getting ride of my stang, so I want to make it long term liviable. I mean guys spend $200,000 on a pro touring hot rod. At least I can make an affordable version of that.

i would love to have my interior covered in suade.. i agree with alot of you its nice to sit in a comfortable car ..

i have about 100 lbs of dynamat in my car and i love it, when i close my doors it sounds like a nice solid clunk car door slam.. not like the chincy hollow kablam, thud! like it was before.. and i barely have any drone in my car with i'm crusing.. i like the sound of my exhaust like all of you.. but i like to hear it outside my car not in lol

Well after going over some options I figure I will do it like this. At some point I am gonna get the Black/Black Terminator seats, I want the dash top, doors and rear area in the same black leather. Then I want the headliner and a and c pillars in the same suade. That should look good and smell Think I can get that done for a grand or less? And no I am not doing it myself, I will find a shop in Dallas or Waco.

Yeah, like saddle color stitch. That would look great. Wold a tan Cobra stitched into the armrest leather be too much? The door arm rests that is, all the tan plastic and console will stay plastic. They get leaned on and kicked too much to leather, plus it would be alot more with all thoes curvs and crap.

i would be worried about the cobra stitching coming off of the arm rest.. and it might look kinda funny... i think stitching COBRA into the doors would look pretty neat..

Thats in ignorant statement. Stock, they are not muscle cars either. Why can't you have both? Lots of guys are putting alot of luxury into classic muscle cars, why can't we?

Infinity is just a gussied up Nissan, Lexus is just a nicer Toyota. I love my car and dont want to make it a luxo cruiser but it would be nice to have a touch of class in it and the smell is Plus it would help with sound deadning. It was something I wanted to do when I was 19 and saw the first S351 SC, because I thought "wow that thing will outrun a Lambo, itd be cool if it had a nice interior like a Lambo" so I will do it, eventually. After suspension, chasis bracing, brake upgrade, blower, new seats and rims and tires.........ouch, guess it will be a little while

Im not going to argue with you, its a matter of opinion

I think they are muscle cars- an inexpensive American made v8 performance car...loud, full of torque and unrefined...the mustangs these days are way faster than the mustangs of old anyhow...go ahead and have both I really don't give a **** what you do with your car...I was just saying why try to make it something it isn't...

Personally I don't want a luxury car or else I would have gotten a Lexus, I like the smell of unclean exhaust, gasoline and so much noise and exhaust drone your whole body shakes...

I've seen the Dash, Wheel, Center Console (armrest area only), and door panels covered in Suede. It was on a black and grey interior 03 Cobra. Looked bad ass I thought. Not tacky at all.

Guy said he had it done at some apholstry place for under 1k.
