I've seen the Dash, Wheel, Center Console (armrest area only), and door panels covered in Suede. It was on a black and grey interior 03 Cobra. Looked bad ass I thought. Not tacky at all.

Guy said he had it done at some apholstry place for under 1k.

Wish you had some pics, I would love to see it. BTW do you have any pics of all your interior billet? Wanted to see if it looks good or not, dad wants to do it in his Termi (that he is still shopping for ).

deftsound: I am not trying to turn it into a luxury car, I did buy a Cobra not a BMW. I just like leather and want to personalize my ride and make it better. And you are right, by definition a muscle car is a mid size or smaller American coupe with a big arse engine shoehorned under the hood, that has always been the recipe

Im not going to argue with you, its a matter of opinion

I think they are muscle cars- an inexpensive American made v8 performance car...loud, full of torque and unrefined...the mustangs these days are way faster than the mustangs of old anyhow...go ahead and have both I really don't give a **** what you do with your car...I was just saying why try to make it something it isn't...

Personally I don't want a luxury car or else I would have gotten a Lexus, I like the smell of unclean exhaust, gasoline and so much noise and exhaust drone your whole body shakes...

Because that is what owning a mustang is about. Its changing every thing about it to something else. The mustang is not a 6 sec car, guess what, its made into a 6 sec car. The mustang is an open canvas that you can do what you want with. I am just finishing what Ford started. That mustang is cheap becasue it doesn't include all the bells and whistles. I can add that stuff on my own. There are too many narrow minded mustangers like yourself. I like the car to be loud on the outside, and keep my music on the inside. Its called effortless speed. I want a fast car, but I don't want to hear the thing coming apart as the seams like these cars sound. Just because the car is cheap, doesn't mean it has to feel cheap.

You enjoy your sea of plastic. I am going to have natural materials blended with polished switch gear on everything I touch. And yes, the interiors are very cheap on these cars. The power sucks, the interior sucks. I am changing everything.

I have never understood why someone would buy a mustang in the first place if they didn't like anything about it and they just bitch all the time about it

I love my Mustang and everything about it, including the quirks. I just want to make it more personal to my taste cus its my car. Please guys dont turn this thread into another "my opinion is better than yours and your an infant because you dont agree with me". I dont really care if anyone else likes it or not, I just wanted to know if anyone has done it, how hard was it, how does it look and how much did it cost

hey bro, I think leather and billet are sexy and feel nice. Sorry if I perfer that to hard plastic.

These are my inspiration. I want when people get into my car, they are set back by the small details that speak for themselves and blown away by the over all picture. Have a ton of horsepower is great an all, but my car is the one place where I go to get away from everything in the world. To me its more then just a car. I love the styling of the new edges, alot more then the S197s. They have a nice sleekness to them, espically with terminator spec body parts. More euro fighter then mustang honestly. But a darn good platform to build on.

billet pics are on the cardomain link in sig...

Sorry no pics of the suede interior. Personally I'd do small stuff if I were you. The Mustang interior is simple, it looks very corwded when you "class up" too much. Alot of my billet stuff went right to e-bay after pictures. Some probly think I still have too much, but I think I'm on the edge of taste and gaudy... and I'm happy with it

Which in the end is all that matters I guess
