Did he find it recreational to do drugs and to drink? Some guys like to drink a lot. I know many alcoholics and they have ruined their lives by drinking a lot.

Hey...Dr. Phil...

Maybe he was a weak..low self esteam..NO MORALS..

Frankie, hopefully you won't be offended by this...maybe he had NO CLUE of what it meant to take care of his family and treat them right.

There is no way you can rationalize why someone must put alcohol, drugs and threatening women before being a decent human. Ever since I gained custody of my son, I've not drank enoungh to even get close to a buzz. Been so long, I can't stand the taste of beer any longer. Don't even miss it. I get to watch my child grow into a good person....and I get to remember all of it..and he knows that I'll be there for him no matter what.

If people can drink in moderation, have a good time and still manage to take care of thier families...all is good. Frankie...good for you to get out of that situation!!

Well, it's about 6:30 am here. I was enjoying a nice can of energy drink until I got to this point.

Hey...Dr. Phil...

Anyone know how to get energy drink off a plasma monitor?????

I'm 23 years old with a girlfriend of 4 years. She gets angry when she starts a conversation about marriage because I’m very reluctant. I have seen divorce ruin many people both male and female. I love her to death, but she made me sell my Mustang...... Only way to pay her bills she racked up. My thought is this; DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY! I didn’t. Frankie, don't loose faith because there are guys (hell even girls) who know how to treat women.

Are you suggesting I DROVE him to it? No, he almost drove ME to it. ALMOST.

Turns out he was an alcoholic and drug addict BEFORE I met him. And his father taught him the arts of beating and threatening women. I had a nice long talk with his Mother one day after we split. Turns out she was beaten too. Jeeee, go figure!

I'm sorry to hear that your husband was such a bad person. Why did he get involved with drugs? When he cheated on you, did he cheat on you with the person that he was doing drugs with?

Yeah, he cheated on me with everyone. Ask HIM why he got involved with drugs. Oh, by the way, he put his current wifes (one of his many flings and he's cheated on HER too.) head through a window recently.

All kidding aside Frakenstang, Men that hit women are a disgrace. Men like that give all of us a bad name, not all men are like that. Honestly, I would never even think of laying a hand on my wife, no matter what the circumstances, a real man would not do that...
I am glad to see that you were smart enough to get yourself out of that situation.

I never implied that you drove him to drink and to do drugs.
I've noticed that the majority of Americans in this country are alcoholics. Most everyone that I know is an alcoholic.

Word. It just pisses me off when guys (usually the ones who give other guys a bad name) blame everything on the woman no matter what they hear. I know the truth and that's all that matters.

Here's an example of what I went thru:

One night, he came home tweekin'. There was nobody in the house but me and my 2 kids, 1 and 3. Well, he came in sure there was a guy there, hiding cause he was sure I was cheating on him. lmao I was not. He tore the house apart, including my kids rooms. He also drug me by the hair thru out the house. It was 2 story so I was drug up and down the stairs a couple times. This **** went on for 3 or 4 hours. He called the cops because this "other man" was also a burglar. LOL, tweekers... Eventually I escaped with my kids under my arms. I jumped in my car (1980 Mercury Capri 5.0 link in sig lol) tried to drive away but he jumped on the hood trying to pull the windshield off. I lost all reason at that point. I floored it. Tires smoking, no traction, lmao, I took off down the street, tweeker on hood. Hey, great Idea! Slammed on the breaks, tweeker flies off car, gets up right away. Obviously oblivious to pain. He screams, "You're dead!" I scream, "not this time ****er!" I hit the gas aiming straight for him. Of course he jumps out of the way. LOL By that time, the cops are there. They heard him threaten my life. I explained my predicament, showed them my injuries, the destroyed house. He goes to jail and I'm instructed to go home and park my car, take my kids inside. I was lucky they weren't *******s. LOL I should have gone to jail too but one of them had been to our house before so he knew. LOL

He also tried to hold me down and shoot meth in my arm once. He wanted me to see what its like. Oh, I lost my MIND on that one. He didn't succeed. My kids were watching.

And then this one time, at band camp, he came home in the middle of the night and woke me up telling me to give him my food stamps so he could sell them for cash to buy more speed. I said no. Ended up with a black eye over that one... Ever been punched in the face while laying in bed half asleep? Fun times...

.........and before anyone says anything about me being on food stamps, I got them cause he couldn't keep a job and I had 2 babies to take care of. I have had a good job and haven't been on welfare since '94. Thank you.

Well, it seemed like it. No big deal. It also seemed like you were implying that it was my fault he cheated. You were just prying a little too deep for a complete stranger.
