That is for sure on the list....the wing had a run in the paint so it is being re-done and maybe the hood will be done by next weekend....then off to the tint shop.....

and I have the new exhaust in the garage....... may get some LCA's and possibly, possibly drop it....but not sure on that yet....
I know it would finish the look.....

In the garage......with the Cobra R center caps......."show me the money".....
Jeff said he will finish the wing this weekend and he will pick up the hood from your house and start on that, I asked him to paint under it as well........

The lip is the same as the satin Cobra R's...but with the polished lip shows up a little more....should have went 315's but oh well....maybe a few burn outs and they will need replacing....

You do anything else other than the K member yet?

I thought you were going to post some progress pics......I know you have a camera..... man I just saw your thread after I posted this.....the motor looks evil...but you need to be kicked in the nuts for posting pics that way...go in and edit them under each other.....hurt my head scrolling side ways......LOL

i would say it depends on what you want to spend

if your gonna just do springs/shocks+struts i would go with H&R and bilstein
Maximum Motorsports makes some really nice C/C plates (dont cheap out with knock offs or 3 bolt designs, the MM 4 bolt ones aren't all that much more and its a product you know will handle the abuse)

For ~1500 i think stangsuspension.com sells the full maximum motorsports front and real coil over kit that comes with everything needed. benefit of coilovers is the adjustable ride height as well as better front suspension geometry.

Looks good...guess the whole top side is getting black?
Maybe some clear side markers/headlights? Regardless, nice!

Thanks for the good info Joe, I don't mind spending the coin for a quality product.....I just don't want to sacrifice ride quality, or steering issues...heard some things about bump steer......I will probably finish off what's on my list for now.....tint, exhaust, hood, and then I think I'm changing from the 3:73's to 4:10's.......then save up for the proper parts....

as far as steering... on my 02 im running 275's up front and its on eibach springs (car isnt slammed but its not 4x4 either) and steering hasn't changed much from 245's, its really not noticeable unless the road is pretty grooved.

I drove my friends new EVO MR the other night (badass car BTW) and his car with 235's seemed to track the roads worse then my stangs... but it could be the way the evo suspension is setup.

ride quality.... did our cars ever have that? spring rate is probably what would make a big difference here, stiffer springs, stiffer ride. same goes with shocks+struts, but with those you can get some adjustable ones and soften them up for day to day driving and then dial em up for track use

It's looking great man. Assuming you got the cobra R hood, which I think you did, that combined with the s281 wing and tint is gonna look great. You really outta do springs though man. It really kills the look as you know. Shoot I got my FMS C springs for 110 bucks or something brand new and they ride just like stock. Also, a cobra bumper would like very nice too.

I actually am just going to go with a standard cobra hood, always liked the way they look and I traded Black Mamba my satiin cobra R's for the hood. If I don't like it I will buy the cobra R and have that painted.....My intake barely hits the blanket on the stock hood and the cobra hood is has a little more clearance and does not have the blanket on it so I am going to try that for a little while.......

For ride quality and looks you can't go wrong with the FMS B springs. The ride won't be as harsh as with the C's and its not a in the weeds amount of drop. Its a nice compromise.

That's funny Paul, I was just on stangsuspension.com and saw the B, C, F and other springs...........I don't want it dropped as far in the pic from Joe but surely close some distance between the tires and fender well..........they do have some nice packages on that site......

Adjustability is why I'd always choose coil-overs rather than a conventional coil spring as you can set the ride height wherever you want.

Another option is bullitt or mach 1 springs. The drop the car around 3/4" and they are similar to the B springs. You might find them used cheaper than a new set of B's.

I agree Paul, regarding the coil overs.....going to finish up what I've started and get the plan together.....maybe before summer....
