Little get together in Plano (PICS)

Well I finnaly made it out to Plano to meet up with 04sleeper and a couple other guys. I wish I had a nice camera cause the cars were hot! 04sleepers Cobra (next to dads Termi)is just increadiable in person and his Borlas are and over 550 rwhp A sweet 03 Sonic Terminator showed up (on my drivers side) with twin 61mm turbos and a safe tune of 966rwhp Man that thing sounded sweet Two sweet silve notches one with a turbo and waiting on a Boss block 302 to install and a H/C/I nitrous notch with 450rwhp. And a 84 SVO with 417rwhp on its 2.3 I4. The cars were all killer except my POS faded pink Cobra

996rwhp, dang I bet he was bummed at the dyno to be so close to 1000rwhp. Pretty sick none the less. You car totally looked like it belonged there. Don't be so hard on yourself....your car looks great.

Thanks guys, I love my Cobra but next to thoes animals I was not impressed with it. Even my friend wife looked at both cars and said sorry Jr but Dads is prettier. Everyone really seemed to like my engine though Except these two arse holes. The T-bird looked cool so I walk up and admire the engine and make a comment about missing my old 5.0 and it was sooo much easier to work on (room wise). They asked what I got now and I pointed to my Cobra and said the first time I removed the valve covers it took me two hours because I didnt have the fuel line tool and didnt realize they had to be disconnected to pull one off as its the first time I ever worked on one. To which the T-birds owners buddy say "ohh one of thoes guys." Huh? I ignore it and say well its a nice T-bird and the owner says "wow Im suprised you know what it is" Im thinking you condensending little F$%* and wanted to just slam him. But I calmly say Its a 88 T-bird LX with a basic 5.0 with a 93 Cobra intake 65mm t-body and a cold air, and let me guess short tubes with an off road H-pipe and Flows? I latter found out they are both young douches that work at Ford for a little bit and think they are hot s^%t. Which would explain why nobody else went to talk to them

Anywho the guy with the Twin Turbo said hes hit 1000 something with it the problem is he needs race fuel and it kills the plugs. At ONLY 966 he can run 93 with no problems

It was good meeting you last night Bill.

You have a couple of good looking Cobras there.

I wish there wasn't so much other stuff going on last night, there might have been some more cars.

Either way it was still fun.

BTW: Clint's TT 03 runs on C-16 race gas when it made 966 @ 19.2 psi.

On pump gas it made 744.

No big deal. Either way it is still SICK!

I need to turn up my timing a little now that the A/F is dialed in and crack the 600 mark.

Thanks again Kevin for the invite, it was great even though I was so freakin tired
Woulda made the trip just to check out yours, the rest were just icing on the cake. Oh and now I have to order the Ford Racing valve covers and some blue pullies. Who makes them with a 2.81 S/C pully? See what you did with planting that seed, you caused me more work

Very nice. In my town, I feel kinda special having my car. But when I was at MPH dyno day parked beside 5.0 KOTS winner Jeff's 1089rwhp TT 03 Cobra and an 858rwhp KB 2.8H +n2o Saleen, I felt rather...humbled, if not mediocre. lol

There are always going to be nicer faster mustangs than yours. The hard part is not feeling the need to compete with other people. If you're going to mod your car do it because you love the hobby, not because you're trying to 1 up someone else. You all have nice stangs, and should feel proud no matter what the other guy has. Just my .02

+2 And thanks I love my car and would not ever sell it. I just ordered a few suspension goodies and down the road this year it will have fresh paint and a S/C by next year. Im doing it cause I love the whole idea of doing my own work to make it better in all performance areas. Just sitting next to all these beautiful Terminators I feel less than. The whole thing is the Terminators look mean but I really like the curves of mine I call mine her and dad calls his a he Just ordered a Porter Cable buffer too so when I remove the sriwls and get a nice deep shine I will feel alot better sitting next to thoes overly shiney cars.......that meens you Kevin
