Are you happy with them?? Considering going long tubes myself, but still doing all the research.

LT's are incredible. They can be expensive and are an absolute pain in the ass to install but the results more than make up. My car pulled so much harder after LT's, especially mid-range and up top. I had to have gained at least 25rwhp with them (also installed an O/R mid-pipe).

They also sound like pure fkn sex. They mellow out the exhaust quite a bit and give it a more refined tone. Under normal city driving (nothing near WOT) they are quiet with a deep rumble, nothing obnoxious or too crazy. BUT, once you go WOT they absolutely roar. Its like having an electronic cutout that engages when you go WOT.

You won't regret them.

i love them but they were somewhat of a pain to install. the engine breathes so much better in the higher rpms. plus the thing sounds amazing when you get on it. best upgrade i think. i got mine for 200 plus 165 for the o/r h. and did the install myself.

Well, I keep hoping an exhaust manifold will crack so I can give the wife a reason as to why I need to spend money on my car. Come to think of it, my throw out bearing is kinda making some noise. I'd be almost half way there right?? One of these days... hopefully soon.

BTW, I have magnaflows mufflers on my car now. The rest of the exhaust is stock. To me, the magnaflows already seem to do that to my exhaust tone. What type of muffler you using? Is it a chambered or a packed style muffler? That makes a difference in the actual tone. I'm going to try to search YouTube for some videos tomorrow of what mine would sound like with long tubes. You know of any good clips? Any of yours?

I've got MAC Flowpaths. My exhaust was incredibly loud with just an MAC O/R H and the flowpaths (I have a thread in Talk with a clip of it). It was borderline obnoxious after a while. It is so much more enjoyable to drive now. It is still much louder than stock, but not anywhere near the obnoxious level.

As far as your wife is concerned, you could always claim that your stock manifolds were cracked and after you replace them with LT's you could crack/damage them yourself.....then present the evidence to your wife
