Hi all,

New member here. I inherited a 66 Mustang Coupe with the 200 cu.in. I6/C-4 when my dad passed away in 03. With a carb rebuild, it runs great. It shifts fine, but there is a slight leak. I will try a pan gasket first before taking it to a shop to seal it.

I'm finally getting around to fixing it up and am looking for a good, reliable parts source. I have a couple catalogs and the prices look comparable. I'm looking for opinions as to which company(s) offer the best customer service and prompt delivery with accurate fit being the number one concern.

I need the interior package; seat covers, carpet, kick panels, headliner, etc. The dash is warped and cracked. Would the overlay work or do I need a new dash pad? Are there any Mustang parts suppliers in the Phoenix area?

Thanks.

16 views and no replies. How pathetic. Has nobody bought aftermarket parts?

I ordered all of the interior stuff last week from NPD for our 67 FB, and everything looks real good. Most of it was the TMI brand which i hear is the best. I've ordered from them many times and had no problems, and the guys on the phone seem to know what they are doing.

+1 for NPD. They have a few thousand of my $ and I am completely happy with everything I bought from them.

Mustang Depot of Las Vegas has LOTS OF COOL STUFF!

for regular things I use John's Mustang b/c it's close to me in Houston, and Dallas Mustang is good too.

Like what places in Phx? Are you saying that there are people on this forum that work at or buy parts from a Phx source?

yep, in fact azcoupe not only owns the fordsix.com forum, he also owns classicinlines.com and he sells performance parts for the small six, as well as the big six, including a new aluminum head and intake for the small six, headers of his own design, etc. mike is also in the process of designing an aluminum head for the big ford six now as well.

by the way classicinlines.com is based in phoenix.

Thanks, I will check them out. Nothing like buying locally unless their prices are higher then the other online stores. Gotta figure in shiping too.

By buying locally, if a part doesn't fit right, you don't have to deal with shipping both ways.

ya local is nice; i've bought quite a bit from NPD and usually they do have at least close to the lowest price, and i can always go pick it up since they're nearby.

I have a 66GT that i'm trying to restore and so far the best price i've found is this
http://www.mustangsplus.com/xcart/product.php?productid=1896&cat=2338&page=1
But I'm planning on putting the pony interior back into the car just blue/white instead of the original red/white interior

So many suppliers that offer different kits make it hard to decide. I need to make a decision before it gets too hot to work on the car.

For me it rarely boils down to price. If that was the case I would order most of my stuff from CJ's, but unfortunately, they had screwed me enough times that I started using NPD. I have found their inventory second to none, so they now get most of my dollars. From time to time I will also buy from Mustangs Unlimited, when NPD doesn't have something that I need quickly.
