If memory servers me correctly, the last two produced were both silver: one coupe (#49) and one convertable (#50) The #1 car I believe was red. Ronnie's (from Chicane) 99 S351 rainbow speedster is #12. I know that Todd (gonen20) has a few printouts of the 99 S351's that have been on Ebay. That will add another few to the list.......I'll contiune to brainstorm to come up with more

The last 2 were silver, #49 & #50.

The #01 car is a black Speedster owned by Dave M.

The #20 car is a red Speedster.

The #27 car is a Yellow Speedster.

The #33 car is a black Speedster, and was Shelly's old car.

The #41 car is a red Speedster.

#16 is a silver speedster - was on Ebay last fall in Kansas. I think there was a thread discussing it here as well.....

No link. PM me your E-mail address and I can forward you some pics, though.

I'm not sure about your second question...I don't have my Saleen Book with me. However, I believe the S351 and S281 were numbered separately.

Someone else chime in?

The S351s were numbered seperately. The Same goes for the XP8 trucks that year.

So, there could be a 99-0001 S281, a 99-01 S351, and a 99-01 XP8.

Not that it really matters for this list, but not all the Verts were Speedsters.

Ok,
I took a few minutes to look through The Saleen Book and revised your list alittle Rob, I hope you don't mind?? I added wheather or not the car was a coupe, vert or speedster. To answer a question a few posts back, a total of 10 cars were built on 00 chasis starting with number 42 on through 50 and number 11 was built later in the year also on a 00 chasis which is how we reach the magic number of 10.... The book also shows 46 S351's being made with 6,8,9 and 10 not being built for who knows what reason (except for 6 as we all know the story by now).......

My information about the two white coupes (2 and 11) must be wrong as "the book" shows both as speedsters!! So to try and clear things up a little, I emailed this same list to Liz@saleen to see if she could shed a little light on the subject. It might take her a some time to get back to me if at all as I know how busy she normally is. We will have to wait and see.......

It would be nice to see what Liz comes back with!

I have seen a couple picts of the green one, it is neat

I couldn't remember what number it was.

I want to say that #48, the last coupe, was at the 1st SCOA National Show in Richmond, VA a couple years ago
