I have finally gotten my 67 Mustang Coupe painted after 5 years of stripping it and fixing everything. I am putting all the chrome and parts back on. Some of the lettering are loose on the hood and deck lid. It is double walled so I can't put the plastic backers on. Whats the best stuff to put on the posts so they will stay on.

thanks

The letters are held in by small clips that are inserted into the sheet metal first and then the letters are pressed into them. Here's a pic of the 7 letters with the small clips I am talking about. You can get them from any Mustang parts house.

Thanks for the heads up, I got the plastic inserts with the letters. I assumed those were caps to put on the backside of the stem after you pressed them in and I didn't know how to do it on the double walled trunk and hood where I couldn't get behind them. I will try putting them in the drilled hole first and then press the letters in.
