Had a little too much fun on New Years...

got so drunk that I have NO idea where my keys are...I am hoping they are still at the Bar

But in case they aren't there

How much will it cost to get a replacement Key from Ford and how much of a hassell is it? I realize the key has the chip in it, and the power door realease switch on the key chain.

Will my car have to go do the dealership in order to get a new key?

I would appreciate any help

thanks

EDIT: I took a cab to the bar, I only had my keys on me so I could get back into my apartment. I was in nowhere near my car.

Nope, I bought my car used and the dealer refused to give me a spare saying it would cost $80 for a new one..it was on my list of things to do but never got around to actually getting it.

Well now your definitely paying that 80 plus at least another 25 for the key and probably more for the remote.

Just call Ford and ask.

You bought the car from a dealership and they didn't give you a spare? I hate dealerships.

You can buy keys off of eBay too. But Ford will have to program it since you don't have any keys. If you have a set you could've programmed it yourself. I think Ford charges $50 to program it.

Oh I just remembered you're from Lowell, was it Drumhill Ford? Man I hate them.
They always park my car in the lot (after servicing) WITHOUT pulling up my parking brake. Each time I go in and complain to the service manager. Idiots. If they do it again when they replace my seat belts I'm gonna raise hell.

No, but that is where I will go to get the keys. I actually bought the car from Nasar Ford in Lawernce...they suck the most...Drum hill is a short walk from where I live so if my key's are not at the Lowell Brewery I'll have to get my walkin shoes on

Side note: I need to do the seatbelt thing too, will Drum hill take it under warranty work?

Take it to Bonnell in Winchester. They will treat you right.

Once it was, once it wasn't. Sloped parking lot too. This last time (2 months ago) I was parked on it during 2nd big storm, the one with all the freezing rain. When I picked up the car my sub had become disconnected from the wiring, which only happens when I WOT it or do donuts. I asked the service manager what the deal was, he said "Because of the snow we had to move your car so they could plow. It probably disconnected then."

WTF?
You suck Drumhill.

My belts were covered under 5 year/50k miles, it's worth a try asking. They are soooooo limp and twisted. My friends and I still haven't gone to the Brewery, we have to park next to it all the time (the big lot) but we still find it easier (and cheaper. lol) to drink in the dorms.

I went there 3 years ago I think
It was a pain, so much traffic from Lexington. So I started going to Drumhill which is down the street.

My favorite dealership is Century Ford in MD, right down the street and they have really good service. Fast and curteous, and once in a while they give the service for free since they felt they took too long
