Ok alt died on me. I replaced it but light stayed on checked volt while running out read 12.5. I replaced battery and had new alt checked. The new battery reads 14 volts while running. But light comes off and on and the car dies when you disconnect battery like the alt is not working. New cable ends were put on and all grounds look good and tight. The plug on alt is in good shape.
